Ukrainian Troops Strengthen Defense in Chasov Yar Amid Heightened Tensions

Ukrainian troops are attempting to strengthen the defense in the town of Chasov Yar in the part of the Donetsk People’s Republic under their control, according to a statement by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Sunday. The situation is proving to be challenging for Ukrainian units, Syrskyi indicated. In order to ensure an «adequate response to the actions of the enemy» and bolster the defense of Ukrainian forces, it has been decided to reinforce the existing brigades with ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare means, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarified.
