Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Armed Forces' 'South' HQ, Repel Counterattacks in Donetsk People’s Republic

Russian military forces have struck the headquarters of the operational command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine «South», - as reported by the Ministry of Defense in its Telegram channel. «The operational-tactical aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the groupings of the Russian Armed Forces have hit the headquarters of the operational command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 'South'», - the message stated. The military department also reported on nine repelled counterattacks by the assault groups of Ukrainian ranger brigades in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Just a few days earlier, on April 28, the Ministry of Defense announced the defeat of three units and over 290 objects of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On April 27, the military department reported carrying out 35 strikes on targets in Ukraine in response to its attempts to attack Russian energy and industrial facilities.



The escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to intensify, with both sides engaging in military actions that have raised concerns about the potential for further escalation. The recent strikes by Russian forces on the headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' «South» command mark a significant development in the ongoing conflict, with the Ministry of Defense reporting successful hits on the target. The Ministry also highlighted the repelling of counterattacks by Ukrainian ranger brigades in the Donetsk People’s Republic, underscoring the intensity of the fighting in the region.
