Military Analyst: Ukrainian Armed Forces Crossed Red Lines

Military analyst Alexander Mikhailov stated that the use of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) outside the zone of the special military operation (SMO) with Western weapons constitutes a «crossing of red lines». This statement came in response to Kiev’s attack on Crimea on April 30, as reported in an interview with radio station «Govorit Moskva».

In the early hours of Tuesday, the UAF attempted a massive strike on Crimea using ATACMS missiles manufactured in the USA. Mikhailov emphasized that this action would lead to a shift towards entirely different symmetric responses that the Russian Federation could carry out using its own weapons. He also warned that the Americans would provoke further crossings of red lines by supplying more long-range ATACMS missiles to the Ukrainian side.



According to the military analyst, in response to such crossings of red lines, Russia must, on one hand, respond with «more symmetric responses», - and on the other hand, increase the level of its foreign policy rhetoric. On April 30, Russian air defense systems shot down six American ATACMS missiles, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The escalation of tensions between Ukraine and Russia continues to raise concerns internationally, with the potential for further military actions and responses on both sides. The situation remains fluid, and the international community is closely monitoring developments in the region.
