Schoolboy Hero Identified in «Crocus» Terror Attack Evacuation

Another schoolboy who saved people at «Crocus» has been identified

Another schoolboy, who helped people during the terrorist attack at the «Crocus City Hall», has been identified as Nikita. His account of the events was published by the Telegram channel Shot.

Earlier, it was reported that 15-year-old schoolboy Islam Khalilov, who worked in the cloakroom at «Crocus», helped over 100 visitors to escape the building.

According to Nikita’s colleague, he heard the first shots while retrieving a jacket for one of the guests, and then saw people running. He entered a utility room where Islam and two other cloakroom attendants — Ilya and Artem — were located.



«We led the people, there were four of us. Ilya had a walkie-talkie and they were telling him where to lead. We took them to the stairs, led them to the service exit. I don’t remember exactly, but I think all the service doors were opened for us», - the young man recounted.

On the street, Nikita said they were asked to direct people towards the nearest shopping center. The mall staff came out to calm the arrivals and help them leave. As the young man noted, the evacuation of people was aided by the instructions from the management of «Crocus», which were provided after the US Embassy’s warning of a possible terrorist attack in Moscow.

The terrorist attack at the «Crocus City Hall» occurred on March 22. A group of people in camouflage stormed the building and opened fire with automatic weapons. The terrorists set fire to the building and then attempted to flee abroad. They were apprehended in the Bryansk region.
