In a recent incident at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, an Airbus A380 aircraft sustained damage, resulting in a delay of the flight to Dubai, the airport’s press service informed RBC. «During the servicing of flight EK134 on the A380−800 aircraft, damage occurred. There were no passengers on board this aircraft. At the moment, it has been taken out of service for evaluation of its technical condition», - the statement read. The airport noted that all passengers will depart on the next flight with a delay of less than eight hours. In the Moscow office of Emirates airline, RBC confirmed that the flight to Dubai at 16:35 was canceled for «operational reasons».

Telegram channels «112» and Mash reported that a water truck collided with the aircraft while operating on the airport premises. The driver of the special vehicle was attempting to park when he damaged the fuselage of the plane. «112» reported that the man operating the water truck did not sustain any injuries. Later, Mash learned that the 59-year-old driver of the water truck was paralyzed at the wheel during work, with a preliminary cause being a stroke. The man was hospitalized, and doctors assessed his condition as serious. The Airbus A380 is known as the world’s largest civilian aircraft, capable of accommodating up to 853 passengers. Its maximum takeoff weight is 575 tons, wingspan is nearly 80 meters, and maximum flight range is over 15,000 kilometers. In 2021, the aircraft manufacturer ceased production of the A380 model due to a reduction in orders from Emirates, the largest operator of the A380.
